General Visual Line of Sight (GVC)

The General Visual Line of Sight Certificate (GVC) is a new drone qualification introduced on the 1st January 2021 and is designed for pilots looking to fly heavier drones for commercial operations. This CAA Approved certificate also opens up access to a wide range of new areas to fly, without it drone pilots will not be able to operate near recreational, commercial, industrial or residential areas.
The new GVC is a widely recognised qualification of throughout the industry to prove that you are a safe and competent drone pilot, who has undertaken professional training and proven their practical skills. Our GVC certified pilots can fly drones as close as 50m from uninvolved people.
